Tracy Spiridakos has been nominated as the Best Actress in Television for the post-apocalyptic science-fiction show on NBC called Revolution. Spiridakos, a native of Winnipeg in Manitoba, was born to Greek parents. Her family was from Greece in the Greek village of Skala (near Sparta) when Spiridakos was just four years old. After nine years old, they moved to Canada. She is strongly committed to her Greek roots, and speaks fluently in Greek. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos was a student who relocated to Vancouver in pursuit of an acting career in 2007, was offered a role on Supernatural within just a couple of days. She continued working in television, and in 2009, she won her first starring part on Majority Rules! In 2011 she debuted as a character actress in feature films, with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
